Moonlight calling
The bright moon voiced that it was time
So she began to clear her mind
Acceptingly she scheduled rest
Then lost her cloak to dress her best
Wrapped warmly against the barren grey
Pondering life, the moons gateway
As the colors fell onto the floor
Every creature shut their door
She chose to welcome in the dark
It gave potential, wrapped her heart
Whilst longest nights came to be
She engaged with its rich beauty
In honor, her ancestors were called
Beneath the yew forgave all faults
Sat in darkness, moon appeared
Relaxed, embracing, never feared
As winter solstice asked her to pause
She pondered of her very cause
She took this freedom to change and grow
Let go during this energy slow
Within its womb and gentle pause
She grew stronger for the cause
Rising inside as evergreens
Accepting, pride-less, coming clean
Renewed for when the light returned
Restored, strong, rested left her cavern
